  • In this study we are looking at various aspects of prematurity that leads to bronchopulmonary dysplasia.

    Our branch is specifically looking at the effect of postnatal steroids.

    The PIs for this study are Dr. Marc Beltempo from the McGill University Health Center and Dr. Nouraeyan.

NORDIC - Prem

  • We are one of the sites for the NORDIC-Prem study looking at pulmonary hypertension rate in extreme prematurity.

    Our local site investigator is Dr. Nouraeyan and our research assistant Stephanie Treherne.

Antenatal Consultations

  • This is study looking at the impact of our antenatal consultation on parents at different time points in an attempt to find what aspects are most relevant and valued by families.

    The PI for this study is Dr. Amaryllis Ferrand and the team consists of Dr. Nouraeyan and Stephanie Treherne.

Longitudinal vs Single Day NRP

  • This study is looking at retention of neonatal resuscitation program certification when done in one day (classical method) versus longitudinally over a year.

    The PI for this study is Dr. Ahmed Moussa at the Ste Justine Hospital and the local team is Dr. Nouraeyan, Marie Garabedian and Chloe Decarie.

Categorization of evolving BPD

  • In this study we are using lung ultrasound and echocardiograms to help differentiate the types of evolving BPD in the hopes of changing the way we treat them, especially when it comes to the use of diuretics.

    The PI for this study is Dr. Nouraeyan. The team consists of Lea Carle-Hebert and Julie Louli.

Dopamine vs Norepinephrine

  • This study is looking at dopamine versus norepinephrine as an inotropic agent in the context of sepsis in neonates.

    The local team is the dopamine arm and consists of Dr. Nouraeyan.
